Depending on which Capital gain you are entering will depend on if an address is required.
Here is how to enter your capital gains;
Capital gains or losses reported on T5008, T5, T3, T4PS, T5013 slips
Capital gains or losses not reported on a T-slip
Before you begin: Make sure you determine the type of your capital property and calculate your proceeds of disposition and adjusted cost base.
How to see capital gains reported on your tax return
There seems to be a programming error in Turbo Tax 2019 concerning disposition of property.
1. there is no place for an address, I was told it has to be handled manually.
2. it seems to automatically calculate the amount based on the spousal percentage of ownership. My accountant didn't like that.
I would like a call from an administrator to launch a formal complaint, not a floor agent who normally takes phone calls. This is causing my considerable anguish with Canada Revenue due to missing information and miscalculated amounts on Schedule 3. This is the fault of Turbo Tax if I understand correctly.
Thank you
