I am new to Turbo Tax - I prepare 12 personal returns for my family , many of whom are family groups - I want to net file. What product do you recommend I acquire ?

I am an experienced accountant and wish to start using Turbo Tax to prepare, netfile and be able to share results with family members located throughout Canada. Recommendation for most approriate product ?

TurboTax offers a few different products that will allow you to file 12 or more tax returns. Here's some information that will help you choose the one best suited to your needs. 🙂

  • If you are looking for a TurboTax program to download to your computer, we recommend TurboTax 20 for you. Here's a link with more information about the product: https://bit.ly/2FpGsjh, or you can choose to download TurboTax Premier version which you can NetFile 12 returns over $25,000.   • We also offer an Online product that will allow you to prepare 8 returns over $25,000 and 12 under that limit. Here's the link to that product: https://bit.ly/2V6E0EI

Remember as per CRA rules you can only NetFile 20 tax returns per computer.

What does it mean 12 returns? I want to file for myself, my husband and business (sole proprietor), does this mean 3 and I can use it next year? Sorry if it might sound dumb!

If you get TurboTax CD/Download Premier or Home & Business, both allow you to do 12 returns, but only for 2019.

 

Also, if your business is not incorporated, then you only have to do 2 tax returns – one for yourself & one for your husband. You would include your self-employment income & expenses on one or both of your returns, not a separate one.
