In front of your return, on the home page, should be the refile button. Is your return showing as completed?
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
The status shows complete and there is no refile button next to my return.
There is only this message on top of my tax return "Make adjustments to your filed returns and submit them online to the CRA via ReFILE." and when I click on ReFILE it takes me to the community on how to refile.
Which version of TurboTax are you using? Online or a Desktop version?
@deen40 Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online? Did you NETFILE your return and receive a confirmation number?
Hey, I am using the Online version and yes I have successfully NETFILED my return and also have received my NOA.
I have the same problem with no refile button showing up on the online version dashboard. What I've done to get to back to the version I need to refile, is gone into the link for the relevant past tax return, ie: For 2003: https://ww1.2023.ca.turbotaxonline.intuit.com/ vs this year's https://ww1.2024.ca.turbotaxonline.intuit.com/.
Sorry I do not know what gave you that impression, but it still has not worked for me.
@deen40 Have you tried clearing your cache, cookies, and using a different browser?
Yes I have tried all that while I was on the phone with a customer support representative who was still unable to fix the issue
@deen40 Have you used TurboTax Online Version or TurboTax Desktop Version? You can make changes to a filed tax return by filing a T1-adjustment. The CRA requires that you wait until you’ve received your Notice of Assessment (NOA) before filing an adjustment. In many cases, the CRA will catch the mismatch and automatically adjust your return for you.
For step-by-step instructions, please follow this TurboTax article: I've filed my tax return. Can I still make changes?
I'm also having the same issue. There's only the Continue button on my tax and there isn't a Refile opinion. Downloading the desktop version is not an option for me since i'm using a mac
@omgitsri Did you get an NOA? Have you tried using a different browser?
I have received a NOA and have tried clearing my cache and also used different browsers
@omgitstri If you have used TurboTax Online, ReFile is not available for Quebec residents.
You can do so directly in your My Account CRA and Revenu Québec, or by mail, by completing the following forms:
CRA: T1-ADJ T1 Adjustment Request
Revenu Québec: Request for an Adjustment to an Income Tax Return
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
This sucks. I am in Quebec, having an online version. Looking at the changes to make in CRA to enter some T3 slips is kind of complicated, just like manually filing the Income Tax return yourself. We might as well forget buying the software in the first place!!!
@hungmtl We understand your disappointment and we thank you for your feedback. We have shared your comment to the proper TurboTax Team.
Thank you,
I am in Ontario. I used the online version to file my taxes in March. Now I need to use the ReFile service, but I am having the same problem. The ReFile option is not available to me on TurboTax online. I have tried multiple browsers.
Is there a window of time to use the ReFile service? I originally filed my tax returns using TurboTax online on March 15. It's now April 27. Does the ReFile option "expire"?
