I'm getting an error in Turbotax desktop The amount you designate for transfer to an RRSP/PRPP cannot be greater than the eligible income reported for transfer.

Are you trying to do a RLIF transfer to RRSP? If so, enter the T4RIF. Then enter the RRSP contribution, making sure to enter the transferred amount in the box "Is this RRSP contribution a designated transfer of eligible income amount? If so, enter the amount that is a designated transfer".  And that should do the transfer.

I also did a transfer from LIF to RRSP, but my issue is in 2024 I did the transfer in Feb 2024.  So last year I had to put the RRSP contributions in as a carryforward.  So now I have a carryforward and a T4RIF but turbotax online Premium does not recognize my eligible transfer even though I keyed in the transfer amount.  It is just allowing me to deduct up to my contribution limit, therefore I owe apparently alot of money.  This is not how it is suppose to work.  How do I get turbotax to recognize the eligible transfer?
