Should I include the GST when reporting self employment income as a contractor? I have a GST number and charge GST on my invoices.

No, you don’t include the GST in the column “Total revenue” when you are reporting self-employment income in Form T2125 Statement of Business or Professional Activities. You also don’t put any amount in the column “GST/HST and PST collected for the year.”

Then, you would do a separate reporting for GST/HST that you collected from your self-employed business. For further information regarding filing GST/HST return, please visit this Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) FAQ: Complete and file a return.
