Submitting a Claim

I received a CRA Reassessment stating that my 2022 Filing was missing income from a specific T5. Sure enough, when I checked my TurboTax return, that specific T5 was missing. Somehow, the software did not pick that one up.

I was assessed an additional $13,000 of tax and $1,000 in interest. My understanding is I can submit a claim to TurboTax for the interest and/or penalty.

How do I go about doing so? I keep getting sent in circles.

I have all the information ready but I don’t know who to send it to!

Please see our TurboTax FAQ: How do I submit a claim under the TurboTax 100% Accurate, Expert Approved Guarantee?

This response is the information I already had and it leads me in circles. Once I gather up that information, what do I do with it?

Please don’t say to call that phone number, because all it does is wants to send me a link to that same page.

If you call the number, please answer the machine that you wish to speak to a representative so it doesn't email you the link.

I did that and got someone who knew nothing about submitting a claim. She said she was a product specialist and couldn’t answer anything about claims.

It took over 45 minutes and then went silent and cut off. Total waste of time.

On facebook, eventually I got someone to give me an email address to send to.

[email address removed]

Hopefully that works!
