unable to start turbotax 2024

when trying to start turbotax 2024, I received the message that there is no internet connexion, which is false

When i have downloaded turbox tax 2024. Im told that i have no internet connection. I am able to get onto Turbo Tax of past years without any issue

Same issue here. I spent the better part of the afternoon, trying to install 2024, now I find out its a know issue?

One would think, that the software would be tested, prior to letting your customers download.

Used TurboTax for 30 years. Never an issue installing the new year?

Will you be letting folks know, so they don't waste hours trying to figure out what's wrong?

The second times the charm.

Its now working.

TurboTax, needs to do a better job of letting customers know on know support issues. I've spent at least an hour troubleshooting myself on the installation, before going to support and then finding out this was a known issue. 

Communication to your customers is the key to success, need to try and do better, communicating to your customers.

I installed turbo Tax 2024. Opened it yesterday and entered all my input. I saved the file and when I tried to open the file or start Turbo Tax, I get the startup screen but it never completes. I get the message "Give us a moment while we get things ready..."   I reinstalled but same error.

How can I fix this?

Were you able to fix this?  I have deleted and reinstalled the software and can't get past this.  2023 and 2022 on the desktop open fine.  Thanks

Happens only with the 2024 programs which previously worked.  I have deleted and reinstalled multiple times but nothing changes.  Both Business and personal.  I had already filed business and one personal but now both completely unworkable.  

 

"Please give us a moment while we get things ready" is as far as the program gets.

@timgreene1 For installation issues, make sure you are following these points: 

 

You have the administrator rights on the profile you are installing TurboTax on 

You are not trying to install on a cloud 

Turn off your antivirus software and Windows Defender, before installation 

 If the error persists, we suggest you contact our product support by phone.
