Key dates in 2025 for 2024 income taxes

The CRA’s NETFILE service for 2024 tax returns is available.

Last day to make an RRSP contribution for the 2024 tax year.

• Last day to file a 2024 income tax return without a late-filing penalty if there's a balance owing, unless you, or your spouse or common-law partner have self-employment income (see June 16).
• Last day to pay a balance owing on a 2024 income tax return (even if you or your spouse or common-law partner have self-employment income) to avoid commencement of interest charges.
• Last day to file an Underused Housing Tax tax return for tax year 2024.
