How do I fix NETFILE error code N1?

If you get NETFILE error code N1, it means that the ID info submitted with the return doesn't match what the CRA has on record from Service Canada.

To fix this you need to check your last tax return to make sure your name and SIN are correct. You can also check your SIN card or letter from Service Canada to make sure the name and SIN match the info on your current tax return. 

If you still get this error after your second attempt, contact the CRA for assistance.
