How do I change my TurboTax Online password?

1. Go to the TurboTax website.
2. Sign in with your user ID and password.
3. Select Continue next to any return.
4. Select Account Settings from the menu.
5. Select the option for Sign in and Security.
6. Select the arrow to the right of Password.
7. Enter and confirm your new password in the appropriate fields.
8. Select Save.

1. Go to the TurboTax products for previous tax years page.
2. Select the relevant tax year, then select Continue my 20XX return (with 20XX being the tax year).
3. Sign in with your user ID and password.
4. In TurboTax, select Account Settings from the menu .
5. Select Edit in the Password section.
6. Enter your new password and current password in the appropriate fields.
7. Select Save.

Note: TurboTax is now only available as a download version for the 2017 and earlier tax years.

2. Select a tax year and the software you wish to download.
3. Follow the prompts for installing the software.
4. Once in TurboTax, select Continue next to any return.
5. Select Tools from the TurboTax menu.
6. Select Refresh Account from the drop-down menu that appears on the screen.
7. Select Edit in the Password section.
8. Enter your new password and your current password in the appropriate fields.
