How do I enter my Home Buyers' Plan repayment information in TurboTax?

Follow these instructions to enter your Home Buyers' Plan repayment information in TurboTax.
Select your product:
TurboTax Online
- Answer the initial Personal info interview questions if you haven't already. This unlocks 2024 tax return.
- Enter your RRSP contributions in TurboTax if you haven’t already.
- From 2024 tax return, under Add to your return, enter registered and select Registered Savings Plan Profile.
- At Your registered savings plan profile, check the box for Repayment or withdrawals for the Home Buyers’ Plan and select Continue.
- Continue until you reach the Home Buyers' Plan (HBP) Profile screen.
- Select Designate an amount as a Home Buyers’ Plan repayment, then select Continue.
- At Home Buyers' Plan (HBP), enter your repayment details, then select Continue.
TurboTax Desktop
- Enter your RRSP contributions in TurboTax, if you haven’t already.
- Select Find (or the magnifying glass icon) from the menu.
- In the Find pop-up, enter home buyers’, select Home Buyers’ Plan, then select Go.Â
- At Home Buyers’ Plan (HBP) Profile, select Designate an amount as a Home Buyers’ Plan repayment, then select Continue.Â
- At Home Buyers’ Plan (HBP), enter your repayment info, then select Continue.Â
- At Details of the Home Buyers’ Plan (HBP) Repayment, enter additional info if applicable, then select Continue.
- To see your HBP repayment summarized, continue until you reach Here’s your RRSP/PRPP Registered saving plans summary.
