The option to print a tax return becomes visible only after you pay for that specific return. After paying, the FILE menu lists the available print options. TurboTax Free users don’t have to pay to print a tax return, but will still need to go through the payment section to reach the print option.
For tax year 2021, TurboTax’s print feature becomes available on February 21 when NETFILE opens.
To print or save a copy of your current tax return for future reference, complete the following steps:
In the menu, select FILE, then select Print Your Tax Return
On the screen that appears, select the link to download a PDF copy of your return
After signing in, TurboTax lists all your tax returns. If you aren't on this screen, select My Returns from the menu, then select View all tax returns.
On the screen that lists all the returns, select Continue next to the one you want to print. TurboTax displays the screen where you last left off.
For tax year 2018 to 2020: From the side menu, select File, then select Print Your Tax Return.
For tax year 2017 or prior (Windows download only): From the upper navigation bar, select File, and then select Print Your Tax Return. The navigation bar is visible only after you've completed the Intro and the Profile steps in TurboTax. A screen appears with a link to download your return.
To print your saved tax return, open the downloaded file in a PDF viewer, such as Adobe Reader.
