Where do I enter political contributions?
by TurboTax•1• Updated 6 days ago
You can claim contributions to registered federal or provincial political parties or to federal or provincial election candidate(s). You can't claim political contributions made to a candidate or party in a municipal election. However, if you live in Québec, there's a provincial tax credit for municipal donations.
Note:You can't carry forward political contributions to a future year. Be sure to claim the full amount in the year you made them.
