Where do I enter political contributions?
by TurboTax• Updated 10 months ago
You can claim contributions to registered federal or provincial political parties or to federal or provincial election candidate(s). You can't claim political contributions made to a candidate or party in a municipal election. However, if you live in Québec, there is a provincial tax credit for municipal donations.
Note: You can't carry forward political contributions to a future year, so be sure to claim the full amount in the year you made them.
