Can I claim my public transit pass in the 2023 tax return?

The public transit credit has been eliminated. The non-refundable public transit credit for amounts paid for eligible transit passes (including eligible electronic payment cards) for the use of public transit services is eliminated as of June 2017.

Unless you are a senior you can claim it. It would be in the beginning of your income tax return under My personal tax profile. Under other credits and deductions- (your name) are there other deductions such as digital news subscriptions, public transit, union or professional dues, alimony or repayment of COVID-19 benefits that you want to claim? Click on Yes- then check off I bought a public transit pass.
