How do I correct marital status?

You can change this easily within the software. Marital status is part of your "Personal Info" or "About You" section. If you haven't certified your return yet.

Look at the sidebar or top menu and select My Info (or Personal Info).

Find the section labelled Marital Status or Filing Status.

Click Edit or Review.

TurboTax will walk you through the questions again. Note that changing this may affect other parts of your return (like credits or deductions), so the software might ask you to review certain sections again.
