CRA Review

CRA wants to review my 2023 return for "Other deductions" on Line 25600 totalling 6388.00.  I don't know where these deductions came from or why the TurboTax program included them.  However, I suspect that they have to do with foreign social security income that I received in 2023.  How do I find out what the source of these deductions is?

Yes, you should have reported the amount of your foreign income on line 25600 of your tax return if it was included in your income and is non-taxable in Canada due to a tax treaty with a foreign country.

You would provide the CRA with the slips to show how much you received as they requested. They will verify them and send a reply back to you once reviewed.
