How can I switch my return to a joint file with me and my spouse

How to start over? If I go to the Return Manager, and choose "Create an additional return", then I select the Free product option (which lists as a feature that an additional spouse return may be prepared for $0.00) but I get put back into my own return.

You need to create a dual return when you start your return. You will have a question about if you want to produce your spouse's return a the same time as yours. If you already started your return, you can't go back to add her. Unfortunately, you will need to start over and create a dual return with her.
