I always file separately from my husband. Why won't Turbo tax let me do that?

When I get to the married page, and I say I don't want to file jointly, it won't let me past this page. Why is that?

The choice is yours. You have the possibility to do a joint or single return even if you are married.

The joint return is favorable when there is a significant disparity between the incomes of the two partners. It allows you to benefit from a family quotient, a mechanism that considers the composition of the household and could reduce the tax payable.

We just test it, and it's working.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
