I filed my turbox tax on 02/05/2024, with TurboTax delux through mail. How long does the IRS take to mail out returns? I am still waiting on my federal return.

Paper filed returns generally take a few weeks to be processed.  Please see this link for more guidance on how to contact the IRS for an update on your refund.

After you mailed your return to the IRS, it probably took at least three or four weeks for a human to open the envelope and enter the information into the system.  You should be able to see what is going on with your return by going to the IRS refund site:

 Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
