I have a T4RIF address-name Spouse B. It is a Spousal T4RIF with the box 26 with Spouse A SIN. Who should enter this? Spouse A or Spouse B and checked box for Spousal?

I have a T4RIF statement that is addressed to Spouse B, but box 26 is YES for Spousal and Box 32 has Spouse A SIN.  Who should enter this in Turbo Tax as recipient?  Spouse A or B and then marking box 26 as YES?

Thank you for your question.

You need to put this  contribution under the  spouse who made them.

By example, if spouse A take 5000.000 on a RRSP under the name of spouse B, the receipt will be applied on the return of spouse A.

You can put your contribution only on your own return.

Have a good day.
