I have filed a return and need to make and adjustment but the Refile button does not appear provide any suggestion on why this would not be available ?

You’ll only see the REFILE button next to your return if you sent your return by NETFILE and you got a confirmation number from the CRA.

 

To do a ReFile, you'll need to sign in to your TurboTax Online account and click the ReFile button next to that return and make the changes. (If you used the CD/Download version, you will need to sign in to that year and select "change a filed return".

If you have already filed your return and received your Notice of Assessment (NOA) then you can ReFile. Please click the I have filed my tax return. Can I still make changes? to help you with the adjustment on your return. Make sure that whatever it is that you need to fix on your return hasn't already been done by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) , you will see any changes or updates on your NOA. 

 

If the return has not been filed, the Refile button will not appear. Please verify your NETFILE confirmation number by checking How do I find my NETFILE confirmation number?

 

If you are using TurboTax Online, then when you sign in to your account, there will be a ReFile button next to any return that was filed using NETFILE.

 

If you are using TurboTax CD/Download, you can either click on the button next to the return, or if the return is not on the list, use the “Change A Filed Return” button on the welcome page. You can also select “Change A Filed Return” fr

om the File menu.

I efile my 2022 return using turbotax desktop. The efile was successful and I got my efile confirmation.

I waited for my CRA assessment and tried to change my return.

Unfortunately, turbotax desktop indicated my tax return was not efile and turbotax could not proceed with the change. Does REFILE (change return feature) really work? I have been using turbotax for over 10 years and this is the major issue have encountered with the tax app I loved. 

Any suggestions to proceed would been greatly appreaciated.

Trying the CRA online suggestion did not help as the CRA site does not allow modifying a line entry that was zero before.

@Keeprite  @tax27131 You will only see the REFILE button next to your return if you sent your return by NETFILE and you received a confirmation number from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). 

If you received a confirmation number from the CRA then you can make a change to your return once your receive your Notice of Assessment (NOA). The CRA requests you wait till you receive your NOA before attempting to make any changes or adjustments to your return as they often correct the information during the assessment of their return according to the information already in your file.
