In 2016/17 I filed separate returns for myself and my husband. I now want to go back and take advantage of people splitting. How can I do so?

  • Your only option is to do the amendment on paper with a T1ADJ form, and mail it to the CRA.
  • You will not be able to Netfile as those years are no longer available for Refile
  • You cannot change them on the CRA website because pension splitting is an exclusion to making changes in the account.
