My spouse is not canadian no sin # what do i do

Thanks for reaching out. There's nothing going to be different, you can simply file your returns as you would do on regular basis; however, the only change will be in the question about your marital status where you'll answer as "Married" and specify the details about dates.

 

Furthermore, for the Social Insurance Number, you can enter it as 000 000 000 and enter your income spouse's like $0 because there is no Canadian Income earned by Her.

 

*Please note, answer appropriately when you get the question titled "Did you live apart from your spouse/partner in 2020?" to ensure not to claim your spouse as an eligible dependent.
