You should receive a letter from the IRS explaining the adjustment in your return.
Ask the IRS. TurboTax receives no information from the IRS after you file your tax return. When the IRS makes a change to your refund, they send you a letter a few weeks later that explains the change. Don't be so sure that there was "clearly an error by Intuit" since you are the person who used the "do-it-yourself" tax software. TurboTax does not check your entries against outside sources -- so TT does not catch mistakes you could have made when you entered amounts of income or of tax withheld. The IRS receives copies of your tax documents from employers and financial institutions, and may have caught a mistake made by you. Wait for the letter.
