Did not explain myself well. The problem I have is when I go to enter the medical claim and click the dropdown for the patient I see myself and my wife but not my son’s name. He is not an option as a patient. The medial is for him. Worked no issue last year

No, include Medical expenses for dependent children in the amount claimed by the spousal partner who is claiming, which generally should be the person with lower net income.
Don't split claims between spouse, as you will then face two credit deductibles instead of one.
