We are married, Canadian citizens and have a 17 year old daughter, but there was no deduction for her as a dependent, why?

Our daughter is identified as a dependent living with us at home.  We were able to take advantage of the fitness tax credit for her but there was no deduction added for her as a dependent.  Why?

The Child Amount for Dependant Children 17 and younger was eliminated when the UCCB was increased in 2015.

The UCCB was eliminated June 30th, 2016.
