I have used Turbo Tax for 8 years now. My Federal form was accepted on 2/12. To date, I have not received a refund. I filed electronically and gave direct deposit info. I received my State refund about 10 days later. I have had 2 conversations directly with the IRS (one at 9 weeks and another at 11 weeks). I have received no direct answers. I have also not received any IRS correspondence via mail. My return is a very simple one: retired, filing jointly, standard deduction, some solar panel credits. I have now been asked to call back mid-May. How can I get closer to an answer?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund.
Here are a couple FAQs to track your refund:
When will I get my federal tax refund?
How do I track my state refund?
Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?
You will need to contact the IRS for information. It might be easiest to set up an account with them.

Then what is audit support, refund guarantee, or "expert advice" you claim to have, I'm in the same boat as this individual and we use you for accuracy to guarantee we get a refund, but it seems to me that response is just wanting our business then ya'll are done. False advertisement is more like it.

Turns out Catina T1 has given the same answer (verbatim) to several other people posting a similar issue to mine. What we’re all looking for Carina T is a way to get the IRS to actually speak to you and have the opportunity to get a straight answer from them. There is an issue here. The first IRS agent I spoke to said that the IRS computers were not interacting properly with some uploads and the info transmitted were not electronically filling in the forms properly. The second IRS agent I spoke to completely denied any such issue. The IRS is sitting on over $8k of my money. Bet your butt that if I owed money, I would have had a letter in my mailbox invoicing me for the entire amount plus interest.
Yes, I thought that response was very unprofessional and just down right rude. She obviously isn't here to "help" any of us. I can throw out legal jargon and "fine print" with the next, but at the end of the day none of us have answers.
