Install fails, shows installer dialogue, click ok, then ends. All search answers either don't apply or don't work. Pretty simple, TurboTax install should complete.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

You have a space in your path to temp directory which causes an issue with the installation providing a dialog like what you see. This has been resolved in the latest release.

Please download and install the latest installer from https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/questions/1364511-where-can-i-download-the-cd-download-edition-....

Hope this helps resolve the issue!

Thanks for the suggestion, but, after downloading and run, same problem.

The engineering team looked into the issue and found that the issue which was fixed in early feb came back again in the mid feb release. The engineering team is working on it to provide a solution as a download by end of this week.

What you can try alternatively try is: Download a early Feb installer for Turbotax 2018 which has this fix included. You can download it from https://intuitglobal.intuit.com/downloads/CanadaTax/2018/dls/TurboTax2018_Build3007.exe
and see if it helps in installing the product.

The application ones booted will automatically find a update and it will patch you to the latest updates.

Can someone please try and let me know if this fixes the issue?

I succeeded by adding a new user with no ' ' spaces in the user name. Though I was successful it's absurd the programming is so poor that I had to do this for only this product. As I have used TurboTax for years I will have to assume the actual program will run error free to produce legitimate returns.

Please try uninstalling & reinstalling the program. Please make sure to use the download from our website to install, as the CD version has some issues that were patched in later updates.
