Do I need to re-install the new version ? or just simply update the IKC number to the currently installed old version ? If I so, then will new tax laws applicable

I've installed Turbotax Business incorporate version 2017.6.1 build 101, for years ending Oct 31 2018 which I've already used up this licence.  

Now I have purchased another download version for years ending Oct 31, 2019.

Do I need to re-install the new version ? or just simply update the IKC number to the currently installed old version ? If I so, then will new tax laws applicable

Getting started

Each year of TurboTax is a separate product, with only the forms/information for that single year. So if you have bought a new tax year, you will need to install the version for the new year.
