If you have already filed coupled return, then you cannot. If you did not file a return or print it, then You can delete that return and you will need to complete a new tax return for each person. If you decide you wish to use individual preparation, you will need to create two new returns.
Please follow the below steps to start a new separate return :
- Sign in to your TurboTax account
- Select Start a new return
- Select the TurboTax Online product you wish to use, and indicate how you did your taxes last year
- On the Welcome step, select Myself under the question Who are you preparing this return for?
- Follow the prompts to enter your personal information. On the What's your marital status? step, select Married or Living Common-law
- At Do you want to prepare your returns together?, select No
- Select Continue and proceed with completing your return
