If I received an EI payment in 2023 for an unemployment period from November to December 2022, would the T4E be issued for the 2022 or 2023 tax year?

I have not received a T4E in the mail yet.

You will receive a T4 for the amount received in 2023 in 2024 for your next taxes, even if the payment was for a 2022 period. We have confirmed this with Service Canada that the T4 reflects when the money was sent to you.
