My son was 19 last year and attending university. I paid his medical expenses via my works plan. Should I claim them or claim them on his taxes.
Also do I claim him on my taxes as a dependent, even though he is 19, to use any unused tuition.

Yes, you can claim the medical expenses for your son. As a student he likely doesn't have enough income for it to make a difference on his taxes.
And yes, you must claim him as a dependant if he is transferring his tuition credit to you.
