Am I a deemed non-resident or resident?
Hi there,
I have moved to BC from U.S. since Aug 2023. I was a resident alien for tax purpose in 2023 in U.S. I'm neither U.S. citizen nor Canada citizen, currently holding work permit and employed by Canadian company. Am I deemed non-resident of Canada for the 2023 tax purpose cause I'm considered resident alien (at least for the time I lived in the U.S.) in 2023?
Thanks!

Getting started
If you are unsure of your residency status, you will need to contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and confirm it with them.
If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency

Getting started
Does Turbotax handle non-resident tax return? I bought a standard version, don't see that option though.

Getting started
When you are asked to choose a province, you would choose non-resident instead.
