Getting started
<<sigh>>, as stated multiple times -- but maybe no one reads these messages in context? -- I have tried every recommendation provided both here and live with product support to no avail. It was product support who told me they were working on it and only an issue with 2018 -- 2017 and prior will no longer activate as Intuit has dropped support for them -- and 2019 onwards worked successfully. Issue only with 2018, have successfully activated 2019 thru 2023, have contacted support, have tried with and without AV etc. and so on (although 2019 thru 2023 activated fine with them on). I have tried EVERYTHING recommended and am awaiting Intuit to fix the issue as I want to access the software I paid for -- 2018 TurboTax in this context. "Working on it" seems odd to me as an answer as it has been quite a while and there is a capability for the user (me) to enter a code from Intuit to activate as could have been done back in 2019 to activate 2018 via the telephone.
I await an update as to when one might reasonably expect Intuit's activation issue for TurboTax Canada 2018 to be resolved.
I apologize for the "tone" but it is very frustrating to begin with and to constantly be told the same thing, which I have already complied with, is of no help but rather increases the annoyance/frustration.
