Intuit.ca Account

Hello,

1.  I have used TurboTax for many years, although I have always bought the software (disk or digital download) from stores (e.g. Costco), but this year, I bought it from the Intuit website.  When downloading the software, it says that in order to activate my TurboTax Desktop software, I need an Intuit account.  Is this new for the 2024 software, or will an Intuit account be required for ALL TurboTax software, whether it is purchased from the stores or from the Intuit website?

2.  When I log into my Intuit account, on the left hand side, I see "My Returns/View All Tax Returns/Start a New Return".  Under "View All Tax Returns", it says "We'll save PDF copies of your completed, filed returns for up to 7 years and you can access them anytime."  Is this just for TurboTax ONLINE, or is this somehow linked to our TurboTax DESKTOP software?  I just want to use my TurboTax DESKTOP software and save files on my hard drive.

3.  Where can I find my license code in my Intuit account?  I do not see it in "Account Settings/Manage Your Subscription" or anywhere else.  Once I go to "Products & Billing", I only see the TurboTax product I purchased, but not the license code.  When I downloaded my TurboTax Desktop software and it asked me for my license code, the dialog box said that the license code will be saved in my Intuit account, but I don't see it anywhere.

4.  I understand that one license code can be used to download the software in 3 computers.  Can this be done via my Intuit account, or do I have to do it through this link and re-input my license code?

Thanks.
