Getting started

This is not correct.  TurboTax Standard 2024 for Windows is installed on a local computer and can be used to create up to 8 individual income tax returns for taxpayers with net income over $25,000, up to 20 returns in total (the CRA limit).  The purchaser receives an activation code, but each return is prepared for an individual taxpayer.  Basic identifying information is entered for each taxpayer, such as name, address, SIN number, and telephone numbers and email addresses may also be added.  If TurboTax has been used before in 2023 for these taxpayers, information can be brought forward from the prior year returns.  Security for Net File is enhanced by requiring that the Net File 8 character code be entered from the prior year NOA.

So when each individual return is prepared and Net Filed, an email is sent from [email address removed] with subject TurboTax - Your NETFILE confirmation which identifies that "The tax return you filed has been accepted by CRA's NETFILE service!" and lists the name, date, and confirmation number.  At the bottom of the page it states: "This email was sent by: Intuit Canada ULC, 5100 Spectrum Way, Mississauga, ON, L4W 5S2, Canada.

This email is sent to the email address of each taxpayer, and is a useful confirmation to that individual that a tax return has been Net Filed on their behalf, regardless of who purchased the software license or actually prepared the return.  These emails have been in place for several years now and usually work well.  This has nothing to do with commercial tax preparation, but obviously purchasers of TurboTax Standard 2024 can prepare multiple individual returns for family and friends.

The problem I identified in my post is specifically that an individual who's tax return has been filed for several years using TurboTax Standard has changed their email address.  However, despite the new address being entered in the forms for several years now, Intuit Canada is still sending its NETFILE confirmation email to the old, obsolete address and I don't know how to access and correct this information.  This has nothing to do with CRA, which has the correct address on file in My Account and sent its email regarding the Notice of Assessment to the correct address.

This old, obsolete email address is recorded in an Intuit TurboTax file somewhere, either on your servers or from my desktop software, and needs to be corrected.  This is TurboTax data and you need to either correct it or show me how to access and change it.
