Getting started

I have a TT2022 tax return file that I want to reopen ON THE SAME PC as was originally used to activate the TT22 software and create the income tax return.  I have verified that the TT22.exe file is still on my machine.

 

- When I try to open the TT22 tax return file I got an error that I needed to (re)enter the activation code.  

- I found the activation code recv'd from Intuit in my email, copied & pasted it into the window/cell, and I got another error "All available activations from that code have been used (Error Code: 603)". 

- I downloaded the TT22 software again using the link in my original activation email (replacing the original TT22 installation), and tried again to use the activation code provided by Intuit.  I got same error. 

 

My questions are: 

1) WHY do I need to re-activate the software AT ALL, when I am using the same machine that already had the software previously installed & activated and was used to create the original TT22 file?

2) WHY, when I then ENTERED the activation code, am I getting an error THAT I HAVE EXCEEDED the number of PCs that I can activate the software on WHEN THIS PC IS ONE OF THE PCs THAT THE SOFTWARE WAS ORIGINALLY INSTALLED & ACTIVATED?

Also note that the software was ONLY installed&activated on 2 PCs originally and the licence allows for up to 3 machines? So, EVEN IF IT WAS an additional PC, it should have accepted the activation code.

 

MOST IMPORTANTLY, how do I get my TT22 file opened TODAY to respond to an inquiry by CRA that requires me to open & examine the TT22 file?

P.S.  The telephone AI was useless when I called the 24/7 Intuit Canada - Customer Support Line for assistance.

Nor did it offer an option to get to a human for a assistance (or advise hours of operation when a human could be reached).
