Before TT I used GenuTax. Of course I contacted them this year and asked if their package will work when 2026 tax time arrives. They replied on Jan 29, 2026 . . . :
GenuTax Standard software will continue to support Windows 10 as long as possible.
However, when Microsoft withdraws critical security updates for Windows 10, it will no longer be considered a secure platform for filing your tax return, and our company may have to stop supporting Windows 10 at that time.
I suspect W11 will affect all but ONLINE Tax filing in future.
As for replacing my MS Surface laptop circa Dec 2019, I'm having irritating keyboard problems so next laptop will NOT be from MS. I'm looking at Lenovo THINKBOOK (not Thinkpad, too $$$)
