Since certain claims/expenses were moved to the appropriate edition. TurboTax is better able to guide our customers through their filing journey and ensure that no credits or deductions are missed. If the claim/expense is not covered by the edition you are in, you will be automatically prompted to upgrade to the appropriate one.
Because you have a T4RSP (RRSP income), TurboTax Online generally requires an upgrade to the Premier module. While the Deluxe version covers basic deductions, the Premier edition is specifically designed to handle "Investment and Retirement Income" slips like the T4RSP, T5, and T3.
If the software isn't prompting the upgrade automatically, you can usually find the entry section here:
Go to the Income tab.
Select T-Slips.
Look for T4RSP—Statement of RRSP Income.
You won't be able to continue without an upgrade.
