How do I migrate/import the profiles and carry forwards already used from online in 2024 to downloaded software 2025 to save time?

I used the online version last year and hated it, I am back to the desktop version. How do I access MY data from last year?

Importing your data

Unfortunately, you will not be able to import your 2024 tax return data from the TurboTax Online version to the TurboTax Desktop. As TurboTax Online cannot export anything other than PDF files, and TurboTax Desktop can open only .ttxx files, not PDF files.

 

For next year, please save a copy of your NOA for an easy filing process on TurboTax Desktop.

 

However, if you are a CRA My Account Holder, you may use the Auto-fill My Return (AFR) feature to import all your last year's information and slips from your CRA My Account. To learn more about the AFR feature and the steps for importing your data from CRA My Account to TurboTax, please read this article.
