Rental property-CCA

I purchased a new rental property (condo) in 2021 and didn't generate any income till early 2022. 

1.  Can I skip not to claim CCA on the rental property? I read that I shouldn't claim CCA on the property because I'll have to pay more tax when I sell it.  Is that right?

2. Do I need to report or list the purchase price of the property in Turbo Tax under T776 ? If yes, where do I need to list it ?
