How can I get the Canadian Caregiver credit to populate on line 307?
In the 2018 online standard tax version, I can NOT get the Canada caregiver amount to populate on line 307 -even though I entered the information in the appropriate dialogue area. After "continuing" I get a screen saying, "Good News! Your dependant(s) qualified you for tax credits!" but no figures show in any of the categories listed. This is for an infirm dependant 18 years old or older and I was able to do this on the 2017 version which I can confirm on the Year Over Year comparison. Adding to my frustration, there seems to be no way to get to Schedule 5 to review the submission. How can I fix this to claim the caregiver amount in 2018?

Ensure the following information has been completed:
- Additional Dependant Information in the Deductions section.
- Canada Caregiver Credit Information in Claims for Dependants section.
Once you have answered all of the questions and inputted all information in both of these sections, the credit will appear on line 307 for Dependants over the age of 18.
You can check that the credit is being applied on your Detailed Tax Summary.
It's important to note that this credit is income-based. Ensure the dependant's net income is accurately entered in the Additional Dependant Information screen.
