Self-employed
The online version of the software - In the Self-Employment section under the Income tab, you will go through the interview of Business Expenses until you get to this screen - How much did you pay for work-related Meals, Beverages and Entertainment? - this is where you will enter your contest expenses.
Downloaded version - Income Tab - Business Profile - this will open the T2125 (Self-Employment form) - go through interview until you get to a screen that says - T2125 Claiming Business Expenses - you will enter that expense on line 8523.
NOTE: Always keep detailed records of all claimed expenses, as the CRA may require them later.
