Help with RRSP over contribution

Seniors and students

How much have you over-contributed? You can go over your limit by $2,000. If you went over by more than $2,000, then you’ll need to withdraw that amount as soon as possible to reduce the penalty you have to pay. Then you may be able to use form T3012A to have the withholding tax waived on the withdrawal. You can download this form here: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/forms-publications/forms/t3012a.html
