If you qualify for the benefit, then there is no reason not to. It will not impact your future tax returns.

The Advanced Canada Workers Benefit will alter your tax return. I just had a problem that they gave me the credit in January, yet when I just completed my taxes they took my credit away. Beware of how these payments are given. 

I just lost 600$ on my tax return because of this "benefit" the money you get during the year is not worth it.
