BUT, now I can see that the pension splitting optimizer is NOT working correctly. My spouse and I both have pension income BUT my spouses is higher. When I use the optimizer it tells me to split exactly 50% of my spouses pension income which ends up making my total income much higher than my spouses. The optimizer SHOULD equalize the total incomes should it not?
