Can I just provide a lump sum for my medical expenses? I have the backup available if required.

I have 21 individual items which I'd rather not enter.

Credits and deductions

Hi @heshore ,

Thanks for your question,

When you NETFILE your return, details of your medical receipts is not transmitted. Consequently, you can enter lump sums. As long as all the receipts are within the period you have chosen, it does not matter which date you use.

NOTE: Please keep all your receipts in case CRA wants to see them in an audit.

Additionally here is a page on "Eligible medical expenses you can claim on your tax return"
