I got an error message for my wife: (T3BAAS05) What I do know is...: - She has direct deposit. - She is a permanent resident. What can I do to actually file for QC?

Filing

T3BAAS05 relates to restrictions from RQ, here is the link to the restrictions to Netfiling your QC return:

https://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/citizens/income-tax-return/filing-your-income-tax-return/filing-your-...

If you do not fall under any of these restricted categories, than I would suggest that you contact them directly, they may not have her direct deposit information on file either.

Thank you for your answer.

I modified my question, I meant to say she has a direct deposit account. In any event, I didn't have a notice of assessment for her. I assume that Quebec will only send one once I file my taxes via mail, correct?

Filing

If you send your tax return by mail, then you don't send via Netfile, you cannot file twice one tax return.  If you have sent your Federal return already via Netfile, then you can either Netfile your provincial return or mail it in, you cannot do both.

I did both taxes online for myself. As for my wife, I sent the federal one for her and tried the provincial one for her, but it didn't work (it doesn't allow me to - it literally says it's in the process, or will attempt to, but I then get the error message and cannot continue forward). Which is why I will send it by mail.

Perfect. Have a nice evening.
