When asked to report the rent for 2022 paid for the Ontario trillium Benefit, I forgot to deduct the amount my roommate paid to me (she’d transferred me her share for her room and I wrote cheques in my name to submit to landlord) and just submitted the amount on the rent receipt my land lord sent me. The end result is a overstated how much I paid in rent my several thousand dollars.
I feel sick. what can I do to fix this? My turbo tax return for 2022 is not showing up otherwise i would try to refill.
