What I do is I ask my wife for her previous year Net Income. Input something higher in my Income tax as an estimate and then file.
When her taxes are ready and filed (usually a couple of months after) i ask her again the amount (or amounts but usually the Net Income only) and go online on the CRA site and correct the line where her amount is entered.
